Unforseen Turn of Events

Well, yesterday was certainly a surprise and something that i wouldn't want to experience again...(hopefully). Well it all started with me playing the online game that i casually play, when suddenly one of my neighbors told me that there is a fire just a few houses away from our home. At first, i was not alarmed (knowing that a fire like that would be easily handled by my neighbors) then it grew...and grew...and the rest was history.

After hearing about the fire i did 3 things first.

First - I closed the breaker in the house and made sure that all the plugs had been taken care off.

Second - I ate (yeah...i didn't have lunch)

Third - I went outside and observed the chaos that was ensuing

The fire was big and what made it even worse was the strong wind that helped in fanning the flames and making it grow. As i watched with my other neighbors on how things are going to turn out, the people who's houses are being burned one by one are busy carrying all their belongings outside and desperately doing their best to extinguish it (as best as they could). The firefighters arrived at the scene and it took them a while to control the blaze.

What caused the fire? Well, according to what i've heard....they were cooking something for lunch and they left it alone in the kitchen. Maybe something came up and they had to leave it alone for a while. Then it happened, a fire that burned down 11 houses. The only thing that was good about the fire, is that it had no human casualties.
I breathed a sigh of relief, when it was all over and i'm glad that it didn't came close to our house. I guess, this is one of those "Unexpected turn of Events" that can happen anytime and anywhere.

The electricity near the scene was cut off (including ours) and was restored after a day. The talk was all about the fire and I'm sure that it will continue for a couple of days. Life is really full of unpredictable moments.

Well, that is all for today and i hope that you guys will enjoy the rest of the week.

Till next time...

Watch the food that you're cooking =)

Wanna be a Galactic Pretty Boy?

As the holy week draws near, i find myself well....lost in remembering what day it already is. I was surprised when i found out that it was already thursday and i was enjoying my chicken adobo (yeah~ it was a little late for that, it's not good to eat meat during this time of the year). I guess... this is just one of the drawbacks, when you're always inside the house and watching the days pass by.

Now back to anime reviews =)

One of the anime series that i enjoyed the most is StarDriver Kagayaki. I've always been a fan of Robotic Anime's (Gundam's, Lelouch of the Rebellion, etc) and seeing this series gave me a refreshing feeling. Takuto Tsunashi (Mr. Galactic Pretty Boy) was....a happy go lucky guy that somehow...decided to swim all the way to the island that he is going to live in (Talk about weird). He was found lying in the beach by Wako Agemaki (AKA South Maiden)and Shugata Shindo (AKA Mr. Silent Cool Guy...No, i mean Emperor Sugata). These two manage to revive Takuto and the three of them, started to become good friends.

One of the things that you will notice in the series is each maiden's personalized song. Yeah~ all of them have different versions and the way they sing them are pretty cute as well.

Takuto's most favorite phrase is "It's a Pinch!" which he always says, whenever he is in a difficult situation. You might get the impression that he likes to take chances, but that is not really the case. I'm sure that she likes Wako and Sugata seems to give him his approval (Despite the fact that Wako and Sugata are engaged to each other).

Takuto has the power to summon Tauburn, a powerful cybody that helps him protect Wako from the Glittering Crux, an organization that is determined to break all the seals in "Zero Time".

Zero time is the place on where the Cybody battles takes place and when it is activated, time stops momentarily and only those that have the marks and members of the Glittering Crux, were able to see the battles that will decide the fate of the world.

One by one, the seals of the maidens had been broken and the only one that is left is the seal of the South. The final battle took place with Takuto's father getting hold of Samekh (The King of Cybodies which is piloted by Sugata). Breaking all the maiden seals will allow Samekh to leave Zero time and go into the real world. Unfortunately, Takuto's father wanted to use Samekh's power to travel back in time....to relive his past and take back all that he has lost.

Sugata joined the Glittering Crux because he wanted to seal Samekh at the cost of his life. Takuto and Wako saved him by breaking the last seal and fighting Samekh before he drains the energy of the world.

Hmmm the ending was....nice, although i would like to know what happened between the relationship of the three, after the last battle in zero time.

Oh well~ that is all for this week's review and hopefully, you will also find this anime series worth your while.

Have a great week everyone.

Till next time...

All Good Things, Come to and End....Ice Cream Anyone?

The first quarter of the year is over and that also means that the anime's who had started this year are all coming to an end. I enjoyed some of them and anticipated their episodes week after week. It's a shame but, all good stories have an ending and i do hope that there will be more exciting ones that will replace them as the months pass by.

For today, I'm just going to take it easy and watch the final episodes of the anime's that became my favorites so far. The new titles for the month of April are very interesting as well and i do hope that they will be able to "satisfy" my cravings. That being said, i will not post an anime review today...but i will after two or three days.

I'm just not in the mood to do anything today, because I'm a little pissed off with a client from work. Yeah~ writers can have it hard once in a while and constantly making revisions for something that you "don't want to do" can really take its toll on you.

My Editor (Ate Kim), is a good person and I can relate to her frustrations in handling these type of people (Yaan mo teh~ K lng yan xD!). There really are types of people that never gets satisfied, no matter what you do. Well, all i can say is good luck to them and i hope that they find writers, who will put them in their place.

I'm also looking forward to our Highschool Reunion on May 17 and I'm excited to see old friends and faces. My old highschool buddy called me the other day and informed me about the event. I bet most of my old classmates are already married and I wanted to hear their stories, after so many years that we haven't seen each other.

My mom is also going on a vacation to her hometown for 2 weeks and that will leave me and my little sister at home "to fend for ourselves". Lol....frankly, I think i will buy some cakes and ice cream to lighten up my mood and maybe, just maybe....the sweetness from them will take away these thoughts off my mind.

Have a great week everyone and pray that stress won't get the better of you.

Till then...
