Too Slow and Too Fast for Comfort....

I thought that the week is going to start great. I had a date with my little sister last Monday and we just went around the mall to eat and chat and sing (in a booth). Tuesday changed everything and i almost went berserk. I won't get into the details but it is a very disappointing and stressful day for me. I took another day off at work and try to salvage the things that i need to save. Still, it was too late to do anything and there's nothing i can do about it.

My Genshiken hang over is slowly getting better and that is all thanks to Bakuman.
Bakuman is a story about two guys trying to become popular Mangakas. At first, the main character Moritaka Mashiro (Saiko) was drawing something at his notebook during class. He forgot it on the way home and goes back to pick it up. He found Akito Takagi (Takagi) alone in the classroom and he told him that he saw the drawing on his notebook.

This is where everything started. With a little pestering from Takagi, Saiko finally agrees to think about on being a mangaka. The story revolves around the two, doing their best to create a manga that will become an anime. There is a hidden agenda behind it and it was a very sweet story indeed. Saiko's crush Azuki Miho (Miho) wants to become a voice actress. They made a promise to each other to get married when they both fulfilled their dreams. Saiko having a manga serialized and turned into an anime and Miho being the voice actress of the heroine.

I was not dissapointed, the main characters had a hard time and there were a lot of obstacles along the way. The twists of the story was very nice and what really caught my attention is the "Rivalry" aka "Friendly Competition" between different Mangaka's (Manga Authors/Artists).

Thesecompetitions are very inspiring to read and it seems that each unique individual makes the story complete. New characters are continually added to the story and it makes everything more interesting. I'm very sensitive whenever i read a good story and i know that bakuman is a good story. I really look forward on the continuation of the series and hope that it will have a happy ending.

The person that introduced me to manga was my nephew. My initial thought about manga's are boring because unlike animes, they don't move. I was still young back then (my nephew was younger of course) and i was really hooked when i first read Mx0 (check manga sites for more details). The story was very nice and i like the twists. It's really good and i was a little disappointed when it came to an (abrupt) end.

Ever since then, i've read manga's and up till now i always get my "kicks" after a good story. My sister also love reading manga and we usually exchange good manga titles. It's a good thing that i am able to do something to keep my mind off things.
I know that things are going to be hard for me on the next few days. All i can do is grit my teeth and kick all the obstacles on my way.

Frustrating days up ahead...oh well
